Broken manifold bolts
I just got my '99 5.4L back from the dealer after having the manifold bolts fixed. The total was $450.
I had them go ahead and do the work, since they already had the truck and I'd have to be without it for another day to go elsewhere. Does this sound about right for the fix?
I searched the subject, and apparently this is not uncommon with this engine. The last vehicle I had with a manifold problem was a '66 Comet. What's the deal?
