shop won't put on a x pipe

hey guys, i ordered 2 spintech prostreet mufflers 2.25 in, out. i called a couple of shops and they said they probably wouldn't do a x pipe because of the cats. all your doing is taking the stock h pipe out, run 2.25 pipe into the xpipe then into the mufflers out the back. so whats the problem. has anybody had problems with a shop not wanting to put in a x pipe? also both the shops didn't even know how to put one in!!!!!!!! i live in the cincinnati area, so if anybody here could recommend somebody

Yeah, there will always be some shops that tell you this or that is a bad idea or they wont do what you want because they dont feel it's necessary.

Skip them over for a shop that will do exactly what you want, it's your cash. Get what you're paying for and you'll be happier.

Good luck.

Ditto. Tell them that youll take your business somewhere else---more than likely theyll comply

FYI, your stock setup uses a Y-pipe, not a H-pipe.

That was the first thing I saw, that shop does not know an @ss from an elbow.
I found the same thing in the Chicago metro area, the xhst shops talked a bunch of crap, so I went to a speed shop that knows what they are doing. The labor rate it higher, but the skill is what you are paying for.

The shop that tells you that your truck has a H pipe, probably does not know better then to use aluminized pipe prior to the X pipe, and still does shrink / strech bending of pipe with a torch, rather then a machine.

Go find a speed shop, and get it done right.
