Urgent...need muffler advice quick

My muffler broke off yesterday when i was down the shore with my 85 F-150 5.0L.

It broke right infront of the muffler, so its just wide open exhaust right now. Sounds hot as anything, but cops around here will pull me over in a second for it.

So, quick question, which muffler?

Either a 5x8 Magnaflow 2.25 SI/SO, but should i get the 14" or 18"

Or, should i get a 40 series flowmaster?

Just remember, i'm not running duals, i'm keeping SI/SO 2.25" pipes.
Its a work truck, no mods at all, i'm not doing headers or anything like that. I just want to put a louder muffler in there since the old one is broken and i like the rumble.

Just not too loud though, like insanely loud. But i want it to have a nice tone and rumble to it. So, which muffler is best for me?

Thanks

Nice tone, deep rumble, no drone, a performance increase, hands down a Magnaflow. Get the Flow out of your mind, and dont waste your money. Magnaflow is the only way to go.

okay, but which one? 14" or 18"

I got a 2.5" SI/DO 14" magnaflow for my 00 HD truck, but for the old work truck, i'm not sure if i should go with the 18 or 14"

I was thinking maybe since its SI/SO and the pipes are .25" smaller, the 14" would be quieter on the work truck than on the HD with a 14" SI/DO.

would that make sense? since its only SISO and not SIDO, and the pipes are .25" smaller, would that all make it quieter? or louder?

18 or 14, what are your guys thoughts? Please post, i need to order one tonight!

well, i ordered the 14" SI/SO aluminumized 12225 magnaflow.
Hope it sounds good, it should be here like wednesday or thursday, and gotta get it put right on.
Then when my HD gets back from the shop i'll have the 14" SI/DO polished SS 14218 magnaflow put on. Probably get the truck back later this week
