True Dual Exhaust for 2002 SuperCrew
True Dual Exhaust for 2002 SuperCrew
Does anyone make one? I have a take off Harley Exhaust but the intermediary (sp?) pipe between the headers and the exhaust is different between a SuperCrew and a Harley and I can't find anyone that makes an aftermarket one. Help!
With the N/A engine, the output is not a true dual, so you would need to have the stock Y pipe cut out, and a 90* pipe put on the driver's side cat pipe to make the bend to the passenger side.
This is some cutting and fabricating that needs to be done.
If you wanted to spend a boat load of coin, you can buy the driver's side header to output pipe from Ford. With both cats on the pipe work it is only ~ 1,100.00 for the one side. The pas side is another 970.00.
This is why you have a shop cut out the factory Y pipe and put in the dual dumps, to make it look like a HD or L under there.
You can see where the pipe color changes between the stock and the shop work ( also a clamp there as well ). This is what I guess you would call a "cat-back" for a L retro fitted to a N/A engine to make true duals, but you can also do the duals with the list of MagnaFlow parts that Mike Troyer has.

This is what the factor output looks like on a HD, and can see the color change to the Bassani "Cat-Back" system.
