Gibson Super Truck

I was wondering if a Gibson Super Truck is a good exhaust to go with. What does it sound like compared to the normal truck exhaust. Is like a lil ricer burner(Honda Civic) exhaust or more like the normal aftermarket exhaust.

You will love it. It is throaty idling and mild when driving. It will give you a little 'cracking/poping' sound when you rev it up in park. People will know that you have a V8!

I absolutley love the sound. Throaty and no resonance in the cab. get on it and it has that muscle car V-8 sound. I think you'll love it.

BUT!! I wish it was stainless. I've had mine for 3 1/2 yrs and I've had to re-weld where the pipe goes into the front of the muffler 3 times. The muffler is 16 gauge aluminumized steel and apparently there is too much twist placed on the front and it keeps cracking. Bottom line the quality could be better. I'm also not crazy about the tips.
If money is no object go with Bassani or Borla, but if the $270-300 range is the max then I'd recommend the ST.

I have a sound clip of the Gibson ST outside the truck, if you want to hear it, drop me an email in my profile and I can get it sent out to you.

Also I have a sound clip inside the truck with the windows open on my True dual Basanni kit, if you want to hear that as well.

The Bassani kit with the X pipe is slightly louder then the ST, but not by a whole lot at crusing speeds, the WOT hit is where it speaks up.

2 different animals, SI cat back vs what I guess is really a X pipe and 2 SI/SO mufflers cat back for the L ( but installed on a N/A 5.4L SCrew ).

BTW : I have a Gibson ST that is ~ 14 months old that was waiting on a home, and he went high and dry on me. If you are around Chicago and want a ST that was on a 01 SCrew w/ 5.4 L drop me an email. Sitting with all the pipe for the SCrew, so it would also work on a SCab or Std cab. Reasonalbe, and I do mean reasonable .
No box to ship it in, so it needs to be a local pickup. Rather see it go to use, then go to the junk yard. Still have the instructions for it also.

Steve
