Question Would it be a good idea to.....

Ive got a full boar catback on my 98 4.6 but i want more of a crackle when i nail the gas. Its a SIDO muffler. Would it be a good idea to have that cut out and have a 10" glasspack with a Y pipe so i can keep my same tips? I can have this done for about 40-50 bucks and im wondering if this is a good option. Im wondering about loss of any power, highway noise in the cab, and if it would give the good Ford rumble that i want. thanks!

10" glasspack... its gonna be loud and snappy sounding. For that price why don't ya just try it out. If you don't like it just put the other muffler back on.

yea i was figuring it would be loud. I have a friend here that has a 91 chevy 350 with true duals no cats, headers, with 2 10" glasspacks and it is the loudest truck i think ive ever heard. But Ive still got the catback design with 4 stock cats on so i dont think it would be as loud. I might go have it done next weekend...
