Post 5.0 exhaust question

hey guys...ever since i bought my truck (2 yrs ago) i have had a large crack going down one of my exhaust manifolds. well this past weekend i was checking it and the crack has really gotten a lot bigger and its causing the engine to run like crap, so ive decided to go ahead and get shorty headers to replace them. m question is, do you guys reccommend any specific brand? im looking for good quality and good performance without going broke. thanks a lot guys!

I just installed shortie headers from ford racing and they bolted right up. They were $280.00 to $300.000 but theses are also stainless steel. If you need to know a ford racing dealer in your area email me and i will tell you .I have their catalog.

Thumbs up

I put a set of MAC headers on my 87 5.0,they were on there for about 9 years before I traded it in for my 97.They still looked good after all that time. They were a very heavy guage steel kind of polished looking.I put them on because the right manifold kept cracking. They are an equal length shorty so they look like a pretzel.I never had any problems and would highly recomend this header.

I found a picture of them.

Exclamation

Pace-Setter Cerama-Coat. I had Flowmaster shortys on before and they were worthless. The welds down on the collector flange popped loose within 10,000 miles. Ive had the Pace-Setters now for over 40,000 miles and they are like brand new. Ordered them from JC Whitney...$280 and well worth it. These bolt right up and look awesome

I recently bought a set of Heddman headers for my '96 F150. They were about $160 including shipping (these are the black painted). I currently have them at Jet-Hot to be ceramic coated> I chose them because I found them at a great price and could get them custom coated for less that the manufacturers coating. I saved about $100 by searching for the best price.

Ditto to above. Heddman is the best buy.
