Post Single Chamber FM

Just wanted to let everyone know that I heard the best 5.4L ever. It had a single chamber flowmaster. I learned this after waiting in front of the truck for the owner. Now, of course the 5.4L will sound much better than the 4.2L, but has anyone ever put this on their v6? I only ask because I want one bad. Also, he told me he spent like $200, just for the muffler. Isn't that the same single chamber that summit sells for $59. If there are different ones could someone let me know. Lastly are these street legal? Thanks in advance

Cool

Possibly a Delta Force Race muffler (not the same as Delta Flow). The street mufflers in most magazines aren't 1 chamber. Several of the Race mufflers are; they are 3" in/out and larger. They cost $80-$110. They have high flow rates, that's why they are most common on the track and with single muffler setups. They don't provide much backpressure, so, some would say they work well on certain applications only.

I just got a 50 series delta flow put on three days ago.I had a magnaflow, lost low end too much drone at all speeds, put a Gibson swept side on,lost low end but picked up in mid range and some top end, also gas mileage went down,a good system but still didn't like the lost low end.sold it and put on a dynomax super turbo,it was ok got a little of the low end back but it didn't seem to have much on the top end.The flowmaster is the best of all.got plenty of low end and picked up all through the power band.It is quiet no drone to speak of even at highway speeds it gets quieter, has some bark under power. But through all my trying of different mufflers Flowmaster is the best.Just can't say enough about it.It is true about these engines needing back pressure,I think Flowmaster goes about this best though with their design, others may flow better but it seems it isn't all about which ones flow better but how it is made to flow better.dynomax was by far the cheapest made.I think it is the best muffler made for the 4.2's.cost was 80.00 at a local speed shop.
