3" pipe after cat???

Question 3" pipe after cat???

can you put 3" pipe on a factory 98 4.6L
cat or just 2 1/2 ???

I just did it to my '97 4.6l. Comes out in stock position(front of tire).
Not too loud when taking off from light, and minimal at highway speeds.
I feel that the shift points are smoother also.
Next step is probably a chip.

If you want to keep your low end I'd stick with 2 1/2. That's what I did and I actually have more low end.
