Rattle!!!

hey ya'll i have a 4,2 6er with pritty much every thing stock.

last week i had my tranny rebuilt and ever since then my mufflers rattles like crazy from time to time. it sounds like a heat shield but when i get under it it seems to be fine.

is there somthing they would have had to take off to get the tranny out that maybe they didnt put back on right?

any help would be great

I don't know if the 4.2 has this, I would guess so.

Take a look at the drivers side cat to Y pipe, pipe.

There is a rubber mount on my 01 5.4 that is in the center of the pipe, it is kind of a flexable mount.

If they disconnected this, and did not put it back on, maybe that is causing it ???

I am shooting the in dark here, but with it right under the trans, that could be one place to look...maybe ????

Your year or the 4.2 may not even have had this...so that is another thing to look at. ??
