Thumbs up IT'S ALIVE!!!

Finally!!! I went to a custom exhaust place today, after calling Flowmater, and took their advice. FM told me to cut the pipe after the muffler, and install an 8" X 3" turn-down to keep the atmosphereic pressure from battling the gasses. They ended up adding a 20" X 3" turn-down, and man am I pleased!!! No popping or anthing...and you can feel it rumble when you stomp it. No drone, yet you can hear her singin' on the highway. Music, sweet music to my ears. IMO, this is the best F-150 I've heard yet. Thank you for all your help!!!

Note: If I had it to do all over, I would have cut the "Y" pipe out, and went with true 3" duals...added a 3" SI/SI FM 40 on each side, (staggered, with the driver's side first, then the pass. second) with a 3" X 8" turn-down. (Again, staggered so that each pipe is only 8" from the muffler.) IMO, this would be the ultimate setup.

BTW, I noticed a HUGE difference on power...not sure how much, but as I left the parking lot, using normal acceleration with a 5-speed, they broke loose VERY easily.

AWESOME!!! I reset the computer, and took er' for a drive!!! Man, I didn't notice before, but after the reset, I GAINED A LOT OF LOW-END!!! I'm pretty sure these gains aren't just in my head...theirs an on-ramp to the highway, down the street, that has a nice up-hill grade to it...if you keep going straight, it quickly turns into an off-ramp to another highway. Well, I've always tried getting up, over, and down to the next highway as fast as I could for the past 3 years or so...now, before the turn-down, I usually hit about 70 before having to slow down for the ramp...however, tonight is a different story!!! I crawled about 1/2 way up the on-ramp in 2nd., at 1500 RPM, to let the guy in front of my get the hell outta the way, and I stomped it...and shifted into 3rd. at 3500 RPM...(I could have waited a lot longer.) I then held it to the floor until the top of the next ramp, and I was doin damned near 88 mph and I don't believe I ever topped 4000 - 4200 RPM!!! I was goin so fast, I had to let off but I know I coulda topped out. Man am I happy. Thanks again everyone. Feel free to email me anytime with questions.
