Post Exhaust relocated to rear, & power loss.

Dealer moved my exhaust from front of tire to rear of tire on my 97, 4.2. I noticed a loss in power. Anyone have this problem and what can be done about it?

Was this done for the green wheel problem?? I hope you didn't pay for this. Longer tubing, more bends = backpressure!!! Live and learn... take it off an install a cat-back.

I agree with V10, although a longer pipe only changes the rpm at which the power peaks slightly. Its the extra bends or kinks in the piping than can hinder flow and hurt power. Its possible also that the muffler they replaced was better flowing than your new one...but its doubtful.

No, I didn't pay it was under warranty. What is a catback and where do you purchase one. What is approximate cost? Do you just replace the muffler, or do you replace tailpipe also? thanks
