Theft light binking when ignition off

Theft light binking when ignition off
Manuel says this should happen when some security (optional) feature is on. But I didn't get that alarm. Is this normal?

It's a Theft deterrent....Ford hooked it up to an ignition source so it comes on when the ignition is turned off....it's normally....

My theft light comes on and blinks when the alarm is in valet mode.
