I have a 1997 F-150 Ext. Cab 4X4. I do not have power at the wiring plug for the radio. It was working fine with a aftermarket CD player in it ( I had the correct harness for it so no wires were cut )and I am going to buy a new truck (FORD of course), so I put the factory radio back in and I don't know what I have done, I have checked all the fuses I know about in-cab and under the hood and I did not find any blown. Checked the power at the harnesss for the radio and I am not getting any power. The only power is when the lights are on and the radio lights up. Ive checked the radio in my fathers truck and it works fine. Can Anybody help me PLEASE I really don't know what fuse is for the radio and is there any other fuses or relays I need to check and where they are located. Any help would be great. Thanks

Are you saying you dont have a book that shows fuses?

I think its a 5amp fuse in the inside fuse panel. I dont think there are anymore fuses for the radio. Maybe someone knows here for sure..Have been posts/pics here of fuse panels.

It appears to be a bad fuse. You said the harness is ok...radio ok... light comes on but dosent power up...what lead powers up radio..is it also dead.? If its dead..(no power) then gotta be forward from there. If its live...then its not making a good connection where you plug into radio. Kinda trial/error JMO
