1997 F150 Trailer Tailights not working

I have a 97 f150, the brake lights and turn signals on my trailer are all working fine, but my tailights on the trailer are another story. They are not working. I am assuming the ground is ok because the brake lights and turn signals work. Any ideas of what I can check on the truck itself?

sbailey;

the problem could still be in the trailer... if it is a 4 pin connector wiring should be as follows ...

-White is ground
-Brown is for the tail/marker lights
-Yellow and green are for right & left turn signal

so test between brown and white for 12 volts when truck lights are on ... i had a corrosion prob once with my connector which caused same thing... those are dual element bulbs on trailer i am assuming

if voltage exists at back of truck reconnect plug and test at lamps

good luck.

If it's got the factory tow package, there is a set of fuses in the engine compartment. They probably blew because of a short in the trailer.

Yep, I would check the fuse in the engine compartment fuse block; it's a 20 amp mini-fuse in my '99.
