Fog lights with autolamp
Hi all,
This is my first post to the forums. I came here searching for a way to make my fog lights come on when the headlight switch is in the Autolamp position. The article I found (https://www.f150online.com/tech/lightningfog1.html) here helped me complete the fix in less than 30 minutes!
I don't care about having the fogs come on with just parking lights, so I didn't even have to modify the electrical system at all (good thing, because I'm not keen on making wiring changes that blow a fuse, whether or not it's not used for anything). I just popped the switch assembly out of the dashboard, used a Dremel to cut a notch and a slope in the plastic guard as described in the article, and put it back together. Voila!
This place is a great resource and I'm sure I'll be around from now on!

Glad it worked for you. As far as the fuse blowing goes, apparently that has been hit and miss - I have not had any problems with fuses blowing, just foglight bulbs. For some reason I have to replace my driver's side fog light every month or so - still trying to diagnose the problem.
