It took me about 20 min. to swap mine out, had to remove my water pump pulley to get at the lower bolts. That's because I have the power pulleys though, stock may not be an issue.

If it is anything like doing the 4.6 alternator, It shouldnt be that bad. I did it last year in the winter in the autozone parking lot in about an hour.
detach the upper radiator hose from the water pump

get a belt tool

remove all that other crap that seems to just be there to get in the way

undo the bolts, I remember there being one that was mostly impossible to see

slap it in, bolt it up, replace all the gee gaws, get in start your truck and try to fend off the frostbite attemp to ignore the griping female in the passenger seat who is angry that she is now late to her families' christmas party. Politely remind her that as much as you dislike some of her family you wouldn't deliberately strand yourself int the parts store parking lot in 20* weather for two hours ( had to get the part and the belt tool and drink a cup of coffee at midway) and cost youself 160 dollars for ANYTHING (oops sorry just reliving my experiences)
