Okay, jokes over....I am having one heck of a time finding the lock/unlock wires to attach to my new remote starter. I bought the Crimestopper V, and have EVERYTHING done except for the stupid door locks. I pulled the boot off on the driverside door, and for the life of me....those wires just disappear after they go into the firewall. It's been two days now.....wife is losing faith in my ability. I need specific location of these wires (picture would be awesome). I have a 97 lariat, with keyless entry. That should take a reversing relay setup...right? I would like to get both doors to lock/unlock together if possible. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!

I am deployed to the desert of AZ right now, but I am in the spare time a Car Security Dork..


The wires you are looking for if the vehicle has door locks are located to the left of the steering under the dash. There is a small box on the firewall wit I think 2 connectors. You will find your wires here. If you go to your local installer (preferably a good one) they will print you off a location and color code chart.

PLEASE NOTE: If the last line in the above chart contains an entry - FACTORY ANTI THEFT and its value is Passlock1, Passlock2, Vats or Transponder, you have to buy the bypass module 791.wiring harness codes

 

The door locks are either at the keyless entry module,(if you have factory keyless entry) which is low on the driver side firewall, or they are easily found in the passenger kick panel however they are a 5-wire (type C) if you don't have OEM keyless entry.
