Post 12 Volt Power Tap

If you want the neon on only with the park or headlights you can tap the Light Blue / Red wire in the main harness under the dashboard ( near the fushblock ) and use that for power. This is the instrument illumination power wire. Be very careful uncovering the harness and tape it back up again when finished. If you want the neon on while the key is in RUN or ACC you can use a Black / Pink wire from the same area ( check to see what circuit the wire is from ).

How much current does this neon draw? Do they say to use a relay? If so, install a relay with one of the coil terminals connected to one of the above wires and the other coil terminal connected to ground. Get power from the power point wiring behind the dash, Violet / Orange wire, this wire is hot at all times.

DISCLAIMER: As always you do this at your own risk. This information is provided as a suggestion only.

One good thing to have is a wiring diagram. You can get complete shop manuals with wiring diagrams on CD-ROM for around $15 on EBAY.
