I ran a search for windsheild wipers and saw that there are numerous problems.

I did not see one that was the same as mine though.

It has been a little noisey for about two weeks. This morning, it slowed down, while it was on hi, so that it was barely moving.

Any one seen this particular problem?

I wonder if it is the controls, the linkage or the motor?

there are two things it could be. if it is or was making noise. and you know where its comming from. bingo. i can think of only two things that would make noise. the motor or the linkage that took the motor out. i would check both. when you replace the motor. make sure the linkage is free moving. good luck. its not that hard to replace the motor.

I took the system down last night in the rain. Its not just the motor. The rainy season here in south Florida is so bad, it washed the grease out of my linkage, which is now locked up.

On my 99 F150, the replacement motor is a Trico wiper system. It sells for 150 bucks at the dealer and comes complete with motor, linkage, chassis and spindles. It is a PITA to remove, at lease it was for me last night in the rain. I will be installing the new one today.
