Sticking ignition

Not sure where to post this really but hopefully this thread is close. Has anyone encountered problems with their ignition sticking after a start. I start the truck and the key does not come back to the "running" position. It doesnt keep the starter going or anything but I do have to turn it back towards me after it is running.

Thanks

There is a new "key in warning" switch that addresses that problem on all 98 ign. cylinders.

I guess I should have mentioned that the truck is a 2000 XL.

Squirt some WD40 or other suitable lube on the key and in the key slot and work them around a little. The key slot is not the igniton switch, just the key switch. The actual ignition switch is down toward the bottom of the steering column.
