headlight switch removal

I need to replace my headlight switch in a '74 f-250.I looked in a manual I have but it didn't give any instructions. Can someone explain to me how to do this and if I need any special tools or not? Thanx in advance.

Hey gordo99,
If I remember right, you should be able to reach under the dash and feel the switch assy. It should be square. Feel around it until you feel a "button like" pin sticking out. Once you feel it, push it in and you will be able to pull on the light switch **** until it comes all the way out. Once it is out, you should be able to remove the bezel, thereby removing the switch. Disconnect the harness, and you are on your way.

Thanx for replying. I'm going out to see if my fat hand will fit up under there.
