Yesterday I hit a series of bumps that shook my truck pretty hard and now my speedometer stopped working. The needle doesn't move and the odometer still lights up, but does not add any miles. It seems to me that a wire is just loose, but I don't know where to start looking? Where on the tranny is the wire for the speedometer feed. Also, which wire is it at the computer. A friend of mine says the speedo can be unplugged there. If all else fails I guess I can pull the guage cluster and look back there. Any tips on how to do this. It looks pretty straight forward, but I've never done it before. Truck is a 2000 5.4 4X4 Offroad extended cab lariat with auto trans. Thanks in advance.
