Replacing Brake/Tail lights

I removed the 2 hex bolts from inside the bed for the tail light assembly and now it seems like I just have to pull on the assembly to remove it. I just wondered if anyone knew which way to remove it without breaking off any plastic tabs that are holding the assembly on to the truck. Thanks.

Gently pull the light assembly straight back, (not at the angle the screws were).

There are some "ball-snap" studs on the lamp assembly and sockets in the cavity.

It does seem like an excesive amount (of pulling) the first time you remove one.

Good Luck XLT_D

Just like XceLent said. I thought I was going to break the entire thing the first time I pulled mine out. It freaked me out too...
