1) Are you getting a spark?
2) Are you getting fuel when your crank?

Things that have happend to me- Did you put the rotor back in after adjusting the points? Does the new rotor fit the new cap? If they don't touch there is no spark. Recheck the gap on the points and check for dirt between the points. Did you reattach the wires to the points? Verify that the points close and open as the engine turns.

Recheck the plug wire order. Recheck the seating of the distributor to coil wire. Check the other 2 coil wires. Do you have a condensor (capacitor)? Try putting the old one back in, sometimes the new ones are bad.

I'm going to assume that you didn't remove the distributor for some reason and stab it 180 degrees out... Let's also assume that you would never ever install a timing belt one tooth off... I think you can check the belt by looking at where the rotor points when cylinder #1 is at Top Dead Center. I don't remember exactly where it points, but I'm pretty sure the answer in the Ford Truck Chilton's. Good Luck
