AM Interference problem

What would cause Noise on my AM Radio? When I turn on my turn signals, you can hear it on the AM radio, if I apply the brakes it also makes noise.
Just wondering if there is a filter that needs replaced. I recently had the alternator rebuilt, but since I just bought the truck, not sure if it did this before.

You didn't say how old the truck is but you may want to check the plug wires. Also make sure you have a good ground from your motor to the frame and check the ground on the battery itself. Other sources of noise could be the alternator or bad wiring to the radio.

Sounds like a ground problem to me. check the strap that is on the pasenger side rear of the motor. good and clean where it is bolted down. Also some under truck form the cab to frame, Ground problems can be a real pain some times. DAVID

Thanks for the suggestions. I'll go check it out. I've actually have had some other weird electrical stuff, so it could be a ground.

I listen to AM a lot more then FM. FM has too many commercials and not enough good music. Of course when I got my windows down I have FM going.

Rush Limbaugh is on AM. Better than music, the truth will set you free.

Question am radio buzzing

Did cleaning the various gounds work for the noise on the am band?
I'm about to have the ford dealer attempt to fix the noise on my 1997 f150.
