I have noticed that occasionally when I get out of my 98 F-150 Supercab that the door chime goes off, like it does when the lights are on, except the lights are off. If it does it when I come home at night the next day when I go out it will chime when I open the door. Once I start the truck and turn it off it doesn't do it. It only does this occassionally and I don't know if it is some sort of warning or what. I recently sprayed liquid wrench in the door latch to cure the door ajar light problem, but I don't think that has anything to do with it.

Any help would be appreciated.

 

How do you disconnect the door chime is what I'd like to know.

I want the $#!%!! thing turned off.
