Cruise Control??

Cruise Control??

Hello, I am new to this forum and I was wondering if anyone has any problems with there cruise control?? Mine quit working yesterday. Although Its still under warranty I hate to be put out by something minor if its any easy fix.. Any Ideas??

Make sure the harness is plugged into the cruise control unit. It could have possibly gotten knocked loose. Could be a loose vacuum line too, but in that case the truck would run like crap and it would probably throw the CEL.

That's the only "easy fix" type things i can think of.

chec to see if your horn is working. Both are on the same fuse. Location of the fuse is indicated in the owners manual.

The problem with my '97 turned out to be a pressure switch that is mounted on the master cylinder. Apparently ford felt the need to have a backup for the usual switch that is mounted on the brake pedal.
