Question Under carrage lighting

I want to add a light to my under carrage of my F-150 Supercab. I was the light to come on when I push my remote door un lock button. Any ideas as to where I can wire a light to do this. I thought this might have been an option (dealer). I was thinking that there might be a spot on the electrical box under the hood. Any suggestions?

When you hit the unlock button does the dome light come on? You could hook up a relay to the dome light circuit and run power to your new light.

Yes just tap into the dome light wires in the passenger side door sill. I used 55 watt driving lights.

I'm thinking of changing to a yellow light to keep the theme going.

Sheesh, how do you guys come up w/ these things? I'm assuming you have the neon light around the license plate also right?

LeanNCut I think the lights add "something" to the truck. But my sole idea for wanting to install the lights and have them come on when I hit the auto door lock switch on my key ring is for safety! About three qweeks ago a young wife was pulled under her 4X4 and raped! My thinking is the same for these added lights as it is to look in the back seat or have a dome light come on! You just can't be too safe.

Another benefit I see to these lights is if I break down I can have a quick lighting of the underside for an initial "quick look".
