light switch

My headlights do not turn off when truck is turned off. Is this a switch or relay problem?

Gotta help us out here......????

I'm guessing that your delay timer may not be set to your needs.

I'm also guessing that you have a "Twilight Sentinel (spell?) feature?

LIGHTS!!

Second roll switch on the right of the Light **** is the timer you can set the time you want for the Automatic lights to stay on..
If you want them off (So you can turn them on and off when you want) roll the switch all the way down and you will hear it click and the little yellow dot light will go out....

It is an option on some trucks..
I leave mine off otherwise it comes on if I go in the shade somewhere or so on...

Hope this helps!!

light switch

I'm sorry to leave no info.

1999 XLT supercab
4.6 Auto

I have only 1 thumbwheel next to the light switch (dimmer)
My headlamps come on whenever ignition is on (Canadian truck?0

However, something has blown, as now when I turn headlights on they will not go off. I unhooked battery to shut them off, and they did not go back on when I reattached the battery. Lucky for me I have another vehicle to drive at night.

Sounds like you may have the daytime running lights option (think I heard it is standard on the Canadian models). May be a problem with the DRL system itself. Hope this helps a little.
