Question Tire pressure sensor failure

My 05 Has this annoying "tire pressure sensor" malfunction notification on the screen at start up and a flashing wheel. The flashing wheel icon goes away after a few seconds and I can clear the verbage from the hud display. I plugged my bluetooth code reader in and it doesn't show anything. Would ForScan software with the ability to go deeper into the ECU be able to tell me WHICH sensor is faulty? Ive used forscan to do a lot of advanced stuff I just don't know if it'll tell me and haven't been able to find it. If not ForScan, is there ANY way to tell which one?

I don't know that Forscan can tell you which wheel is sending the tire pressure sensor malfunction value, but I have to ask, have you checked the pressures in all your tires? I'm guessing you probably have, so I suspect you simply have a case of the battery in the sensor wearing out. I seem to recall them having a lifespan of around seven years, and if yours are around that age or more, then you probably just need to bite the bullet and have them replaced.

Yeah tire pressure is good. They were supposed to have been serviced when I had tires put on a couple of years ago but I'm wondering if they just looked at them and then reused vs replaced. I hate to have the tires pulled off and have to then pay for mounting and balancing again but sounds like I might have to. The odd thing is that this started happening randomly on the highway. Was driving along 20 or 30 mins from home it just beeped at me saying tpms sensor malfunction

Got any after-market stuff plugged in? I've got a cell charger that my just-gone 07 mariner hated. It would cause a TPMS error every time after about 20 minutes of driving.

Torque Pro was never able to find the TPMS system and I never got around to checking it with either Forscan Lite or Forscan.
