2004 f150 fx4/ electrical

Turn signals were not working/ changed fuse/ seemed fine until I turn on anything else electrical, lights, fan etc. Turn off elec and works fine. have blown a few driving lights bulbs in past few months fyi. When the problem does occur the turn signals both show up on panel as steady glow, also if I do turn fan on its a lot lower air flow even on 4. Love my truck only 111,000 on it but once the electrical demons set it it may be over.
New to forum( as far as posting) Hopefully some suggestions out there. Thanks Jwlev

Check for chaffed or chewed wiring in the wiring looms.

Troubleshooting issues like this takes time and patience.

More than likely it is chaffed wires.

First place I'd check is the wiring along the driver's side frame rail, and if you remove the kick plate on the floor (both pass/driver) and look at that wiring.

Then I'd start looking in the engine bay for anything that seems chaffed or messed up.

Also look at the fuse boxes for water ingress or corrosion.

Nah, it's easier than all that.

Common symptom of a bad ground. Usually, it's because the cabin panel behind one of the kick panels has turned to rust. Pull the panels and inspect.

Move the ground connection to "fresh" steel (drill a new hole further up, etc).

While the fuse box may be dry, the body rot indicates that there is or has been significant water infiltration into that space. A leaky windshield seal is the most common problem.
