Battery

I replaced my battery the end of December. About 2weeks ago I was going to run errands, when I went to start the truck I had nothing. A friend jumped me last week, the truck started up right away and when we removed the ground cable, ruled out the alternator & starter. Took the battery back, & it had a dead cell. I got a new one in it's place and all has been good. Went out today and nothing? It's a '04 F150... any input would appreciated

Go get the battery and alternator/charging system tested. Parts stores can do this in the parking lot free of charge.

Battery was most like one of the POS batteries ***made by*** Johnson Controls. Their crap batteries have been flooding the market for years now.

"and when we removed the ground cable, ruled out the alternator & starter."

I'm not sure what you did there but if disconnected the ground cable from a running engine then you didn't PROVE anything and you're dammed lucky that you didn't burn up something! Batteries connected to charging circuits provide voltage stabilization and help prevent surges and sags in the voltage in the circuit. NEVER disconnect any battery while it's being charged unless you KNOW how the circuit operates.

I meant the blk jumper cable not the ground cable, I just worded it wrong.
