Please help a new owner out here. I have tried the diagnostic, when I press the off button and turn the key to on the cruise light slashes, when I press on nothing happens, nor any of the other buttons. Does this signify that the clock spring is bad? The buttons do not light up i seem to be under the impression that they should... Please share any knowledge that you might have this is on a 2003 Supercrew 4X4, horn does not work ( it doesnt trip the relay, and security system does but horns dont work with that also), airbag light is off. Have a feeling that I am going not find an answer on how to fix the cruise, but thought I would give it a try. I have read countless posts about the diagnostic test, but none seem to go the way mine is going. Please advise.

The cable inside of the clock spring might not be completely broke yet. Give it time, and it will be giving you an airbag SRS light.
