Supply power to travel trailer when operating?

Hello, Sonoma - and welcome! You don't give the model year of your truck, so I can't give you a precise answer to your question but:
In my old 2005 truck, I had to install a 30A fuse in the power supply center under the hood. In my 2014 truck, I had to install BOTH a 30A fuse and a relay in the power supply center. Neither one came with thise devices installed, but they were in the glove compartment. I seem to recall that 2015+ trucks have the charging system controlled by the ACM, and no fuse or relay installation is needed, but my memory could well be faulty regarding this. And, I don't know what 2003- trucks needed, but I suspect they also needed a fuse.
If you add your truck's model year to this thread, I'm sure someone will be along soon to give you correct guidance.
