I have a 94 F150 that is flashing airbag code 32, and I get the 5 beeps but in my case I don't think the problem is the clock spring.

First, a little history. A couple of months ago I heard something while driving, then suddenly smelled a strong electrical fire smell. I stopped immediately and shut the truck off! Smelling around (what a horrible smell), it originated under the dash but started going away before I could pinpoint. Since then, and perhaps just before then, I suddenly started getting the 5 beeps while driving, but also when the truck is off. Just out of the blue, while in the yard I start hearing 5 beeps one time then it goes away for a while.

I researched and people say that is the clock spring and the horn won't work, but this horn blows just fine!

Please give me some insight as to what to look at or how to troubleshoot.
