Question Battery Warrantee

I have a 99 F150, Lariat SC that has 32K miles. I am in the National Guard and needlees to say, I shipped out recently. I have 9 monthes left on the warrentee and I have been informed by my wife that the battery has gone dead. My next door neighbor charged the battery for my wife but it was dead again the next day (she is happier driving her car anyway). For warrentee, is the battery going to be pro-rated or a direct replacement by the dealer?

TIA

I would think the battery is covered under warranty. I saw your truck was a 99 and its relatively unsual for batteries to fail this early on. Most OTC batteries are warrantied at least 3 years if not 5. I bought my truck two weeks ago and within 1 week the battery failed, apparently because the truck had been sitting on the lot so long I suppose to battery had been drained too much and failed.

But anyway, if you want a better answer just call up the service dept at the dealer and set up an appointment and get everything cleared up on the phone so all your wife has to do is take it in.
