here's a link to the Haynes on Amazon

https://www.amazon.com/Pick-up-Bronc...anuals%2C+ford

And this is a link to the chilton version

https://www.amazon.com/Chiltons-Pick...anuals%2C+ford

either one will offer plenty of help replacing u joints and hinges and such. Plus wire diagrams

I will have to buy a new manual for part of what I need. My dad had some old manuals laying around with wiring schematics for the truck so I have been using that for troubleshooting the wires.

The u-joints I may try and tackle next weekend not sure yet. I started to spray down bolts so that they will be easier to come apart when i get to them and started to grease up everything else that needs grease in the front end. I have a idea for my exhaust on how to fix it and that is going to be to cut out the poor welding done with the wrong size pipe and replace it to quiet the truck down to where it should sound. I like chiltons so I will buy one of those. Any further repairs are waiting till next weekend. Payday and time are next weekend.

Thank you. I will keep updating this post as I proced. This truck I am currently trying to get to the point where it will make it threw the winter. My mom works out of town and doesnt have a 4x4 and needs one so this is my way of helping out is buying a truck and getting it ready. Next spring it will come back to me and I will get to start modding and repairing the body etc... if it doesnt get destroyed this winter. People out here have been driving like they have no brains and dont know the gas from the brake.

Well today I went and ordered all new u-joints, Oil pan gasket, front and rear main seals, oil drain plug and gasket. Thinking tonight I may start to take it apart and then try and get atleast the ujoints done over the weekend. Progress.

Well I have got home from work and finally have some time to work on the truck. I have begun to tackle the u-joints on both drive shafts ( Almost have them pulled just have to take the bolts out ) and have drained the oil and starting to get ready to try and drop the oil pan as well seeing as the gasket is shot. I am also trying to decide what to do with the exhaust. I have a buddy who could weld it up so its not so loud or I have been thinking of getting the clamps like they use on the semis exhaust but for the size pipe this truck has. Well more to come and I am sure some pictures once I have the drive shafts out and or oil pan dropped.
