Hardwire brake controller on a 2008 xlt ford

Hey,
I'm curious if anyone knows what each wire is where you'd plug in your brake controller on a 2008 f150 xlt. I purchased this truck used and the plug that's originally there was cut. Wires as follows Black, Blue, Green, Red, I'm assuming that because both the red and blue are larger diameter that Red is power and Blue is electrical brake feed? This is where I'm stumped, I can't find a wiring diagram and I'm trying to hard wire my curt brake controller. Should I just buy the curt controller to ford adapter and snip the end off of it and wire it colour for colour?

If someone could shed some light or point me in the right direction it would be appreciated.
