12v accessory outlet not working and fuse is fine

My 12v accessory outlet wont work in my 2004 f150. The cigarette lighter and other 12v outlet does work. The fuse for the cigarette lighter still is good. A few days before my friend stuck a knife in there trying to get something out, it shocked the knife and hasnt worked since. What could this be?

Possibly fried the wiring somewhere. If there's power at the fuse, then at least you can narrow down where the problem is some. But for this, a multimeter is going to be your best friend.

You need to check the correct fuse.

Cigar lighter is fuse # #41
Instrument power point is fuse # 39
Power point is fuse # 37

Your best friend here is the owners manual.
