keypad entry system

keypad entry system

couple mths back my kes stopped working wont light up , wont respond to factory code... pulled connection in door apart with volt tester lite came on on tester for 5 seconds then went off tried numerous times with same result im thinking key pad has met its demise. any suggestions?

Sounds reasonable, but I'd check the wiring to the keypad too. Use a multimeter, not a test light. You probably also need a wiring diagram, which I don't have. If any of the wiring to the keypad is faulty due to a poor connection or a broken wire, it would probably give you the symptoms you describe.
