I hope they'll take that one back.
I should have taken a picture of the harness it comes with ... here is a picture of it with the handle off their website

Very nice wiring I must say. The camera must draw so little because the wires are pretty thin. The RCA is thick (because there is two in there I believe, so technically you can just extend it using two wires but I was not playing with it until I knew for sure I could not reach haha)

So the handle has its own wire that runs through the tailgate and just under the truck bed, then there is a plug. This is for a quick disconnect so you can remove your tailgate if needed without an issue (I threw a little DI-electric grease in there just to keep moisture out). I also loomed it as you see.

Kent and Darren, you will surely need an extension if you are hooking up to a head unit as it will not reach. Call them up and I think they offer an extension. Really nice guy that runs it, his name is Brian.

I talked with him last night after sending him some pictures and he thinks it was a factory mess up as it should show the bumper. I would suggest going with the moveable one for 50 bucks more. He said it's only able to move with a tool so it wont just move under bumps, which is a good thing. I believe I am going with the moveable one so I can set where I want it.

Also, Darren you would be best calling them and seeing what you need in order to hook up. Leave a message because I think it might be a one man band over there and he is probably busy.

This is the moveable one that I was talking about, I did not see it at first. But if this was a bum one and it does catch the bumper (like he said it should) I'll let you know, who does not want to save 50 bucks haha

I think the adjustable is probably best cause you're lifted, and that probably changes the angles a little. I'm planning on lifting (eventually . . .) so I'd want it to be able to adjust too. I'd definitely want an extension for nice wires like that, no need to cut them up.

If you are talking about viewing the ball on the truck..

I am not a lift expert by any means, but if the camera to bumper / trailer tow receiver is a fixed height & viewing angle, and the lift picks up the bumper and the tailgate handle at the same rate, it would not matter.
- If you were talking about trying to view a point on the ground, that is a different story, but trying to view the ball from the tailgate handle, it does not matter if it is factory height 4x2 or a 4x4 with a 6" lift.

That's what I'm talking about. I understand how what I said was potentially confusing though. But I want to be able to adjust what I can see, etc. when the truck is higher up. The hitch and bumper ain't movin any further away from the tailgate handle! Haha

Yes, the guy tried to say it might be the lift but then I said that more than likely was not the case haha seeing that nothing changed regarding catching my bumper or not.

I don't even care what is behind me just want to see the bumper and the hitch .... looking behind me far is what mirrors are for haha

I mainly want it for reversing/parking in parking lots, especially with my hitch on there and not having to put down my stupid-dark windows to see my mirrors.

***UPDATE***

Finally got around to putting on the adjustable camera one and 20 mins of time it's perfect

Had to pop the tailgate off to swap out the handle but thank god there is a quick connect that comes with it so I just unplugged it and plugged the new on right back in when it was all run.

I'll get some pics up in a bit

It can be angled down a little more but I liked it there so I can see more back and still catch the ball. The picture sucks with a phone taking it but it is very very clear

Recently, I've been thinking and wondering about how the adjustable one worked for you! A camera is on my short list once the lift is done, especially with how inexpensive (relatively) these are.

That looks good, Chris! I've been spoiled by all the nice new cars at work again, so it's annoying that my old truck doesn't have a backup cam

Nice thread...do the park assist lines bend with the way you are turning? Or just stay straight?
