2003 F150 Brake issue causing power loss

My 2003 F150 had a blown alternator field fuse. I replaced it and after a few minutes of driving time, I pressed my brake pedal and then the abs light came on and I began to loose power. My radio went off, all of my gauges dropped to zero, my odometer went off, and my power locks and windows stop working. The truck had issues starting and stopping at stop signs and red lights and when I got it home I had no battery charge and the new fuse had blown. Checking alternator is next step unless anyone has any other suggestions.

Yep. Pull it and take it to the parts store for a test.

Yeah, further research showed that it was either the alternator or voltage regulator that is the cause of the fuse blowing. I am not very "mechanically inclined", but luckily this is something I can handle. Was just hoping to avoid it.
