I'd appreciate any help or suggestions. The alarm on my 2011 F150 FX4 SuperCrew randomly goes off (horn honks and lights flash). There doesn't seem to be any pattern. Some days it goes off every ten minutes, and then it can go for several days without tripping. The truck can be parked in different places, different positions and it happens any time of day and at any temperature.
I did upgrade components of the stereo (new amp and speakers) so I'm suspicious there is something in the electrical that I've done, but it may just be a coincidence as the problem did not start immediately after the upgrade. Could there be some component or relay that is defective?
Where do I begin?
