Interior/cargo lights
Interior/cargo lights
On my 2011 F150, when I open the door, my interior lights do not come on. I can get in the truck and turn them on with the manual switches. Also my bed cargo lamp will not light under any circumstances. I addition to that the headlight switch does not illuminate at all. I have tried the hold the dimmer switch like it says in the owner's manual, but nothing changes. Any ideas are appreciated.

Are you sure they aren't de-activated? Given that its an XLT you may not have the drivers message center and the ability to turn it on/off with ease, but it could still be turned off.
Had you asked this in 2009/2013 section it may have brought more attention to the matter, though I too feel this is the appropriate section for your question.

Feelin a little sheepish now. I opened the fuse cover and saw a cut wire. Further investigation revealed a blown 25 amp fuse with the cut wire plugged into my 15 amp courtesy lamp fuse socket. Removed wire and blown fuse, and replaced with 15 amp fuse, problem solved. Apparantly previous owner had a computer or something wired into the truck. Thanks for the response though.
