No blinkers? Not fuse or bulbs

So all my blinkers are out, even when you put them on no clicking or showing them on on the dash board. Some times when you really mess around and hold the turn signal lever in funky positions some times you can get a click or two out of it. pulled the bulbs the back two were bad but the fuse was fine, replace the bulbs and still no life. Before I go ripping into my steering column or something does anyone have suggestions?
