ok guys,
I have a 98 4.2L 2wd no power anything 5 speed manual tranny

my GEM has been slowly failing(funny since ive had several windshields put in)and its now at the point where all the fun stuff is happening(heater wont stop blowing, speedo starts and stops sporadically, wipers are 50/50, door chime always chimes).

I took the GEM out and cleaned the corrosion to buy some time but its toast.

I have F75B-14B205-LB

id like to know which modules I can use instead, LB is $125 on ebay but theres an F85B-14B205-MA for $60

truck has 245,000 miles on it and id like one more year out of her for as little as possible. I know some modules can be swapped with loss of some functions(like losing a rear defogger on an expedition) but I have not been able to find anywhere an interchange parts list for these things.

for example i cant even find which option package an MA module controls.


Any help at all will be greatly appreciated, im kind of in a jam here.

I'll try the dielectric grease on the connectors, when I had the GEM out last week there was no noticeable corrosion on the circuit board but it does make noise from that general area(relays clicking etc) so ill replace the relays in the fuse box and clean the connectors and pray a bit
