mysterious mudule help

mysterious mudule help

i am a brand new member long time guest. i found this"module in the back of my new to me 03 f150 has n e 1 ever seem this before it plugs in under the dash. i don't have a clue. green and red light comes on when plugged in. please help.

Looks aftermarket, since there's a fuse on the power supply line. Beyond that, I haven't got a clue.

But, you're posted in the right forum. Someone will probably have an idea. Is there a "model number" or something similar on it? If so, you could do a Google search.

Google results only say complies with non interference to radio waves?

where exactly was it at under the dash?

it wasnt connected to anything it was in the storage compartment behind the back seat. it plugs into a connection right under the dash by where you would run the check engine light computer connect.(not sure what that plug is called.

looks like an electronic brake module for electric trailer brakes, it has to be "this side down" and forward for the internal motion sensors to activate trailer brakes.

just a guess

Ford usually sends the trailer brake adapter with each truck equipped from the factory with tow/haul.
