Hi,

I have a Ford F150 05, and whenever I start up the truck once its been sitting for an hour just before it's starting the odometer gives me the "check gauges" light for a split second?

Why would it do that??

(I had to videotape the odometer to find out what it was saying, all i could make out was check)


Any help will be greatly appreciated.

 

Probably a momentary glitch due to the battery voltage sagging when the starter motor is running.

Check your battery connections, then have the battery load tested.
