Another my truck won't start thread

Ok. About a month ago I pulled my motor out of my truck, 2001 5.4l, to do some work on it. Now after I reinstalled the motor wired it back up go to start it and nothing. The dash lights up like it should when you put the key in the run position but when you turn it to the start position all the lights except the battery and brake light go out. Everything electrical on the truck works - windows, locks, seats, radio, heater. I have checked the battery (it holds over 12v all the time). I have checked the starter and the firewall mounted relay (they both work). If I jump the soleniod (either by touching the two big terminals together or applying 12v to the small stud) the truck will start and run fine. I checked all connections in the wiring and the wires themselves (both under the hood and under the dash). With the key in the start position the red/tan wire that runs to the firewall soleniod has no power. Also I went under the truck and looked at the range sensor on the side of the transmission. I tested the #9 pin with the key on and no power to the pin. Any ideas on what to check next? Sorry so long winded but wanted to make sure that I put everything in here.

Check pin 10, not pin 9 of the DTR switch. Should be a DB/OR wire that goes back to F21 via the clutch pedal switch jumper.

Don't forget, it will only have power when the key is in the start position, not the run position.

Thank you for the responses guys. The truck runs now. The funny part is it was something dumb that was keeping it from running but by testing your suggestions I found it. Turned out that the tranny harness wasn't tightened down all the way to make good contact.
